Recycled, junk mail wrapping paper
When my children were growing up, we often used cloth bags--the same bags, recycled year after year--to wrap holiday gifts. Every year, I'd go to the fabric store right after Christmas and buy holiday-themed fabric at a discount, to add more bags to our supply.
Here's an alternative that also saves paper: Green Delights of Junk Mail Gift Wrapping. (At this point, it might be smartest to save your current supply of holiday catalogues and junk mail, to make paper for next year. It all depends upon how much time you have between now and whichever holidays you celebrate.)
Also, this kind of wrapping paper might be a fun, extra product to offer, if you sell your art/crafts at craft fairs.
