About Aisling D'Art

[listen]

Aisling D'Art (pronounced ASH-ling) is a wild woman and art innovator. She works in a variety of media to produce whimsical and intriguing fine arts & crafts.

Early in 1996, she was one of the first to create an online diary (now called "blogs"). Later in 1996, Aisling was among the first to post fresh artwork online, daily. Her art journals, featuring page of page of collages (and nothing else), were the forerunner of today's gluebooks.

In other words, while Aisling may seem just a teensy bit eccentric at times, she's usually a few steps--or a few years--ahead of popular trends.

Aisling is the one who's organizing a "polar bear swim" or impromptu ghost hunts at gatherings. If you want an offbeat class or spur-of-the-moment adventure, Ais is the one to look for.

Aisling founded many popular Yahoo Groups such as Artists Journals 2 (now called Writers & Artists Journals 2: WAJ2), AJmarketing, Raw Art Journaling, and Wild Art Dolls. (She no longer moderates those groups, due to an increasingly full schedule.)

Her zany paper dolls were featured in the Winter 2003 issue of Art Doll Quarterly. And, she was a recurring guest on HeartsART.com radio.

She also produced the successful art event, Celebrate Art!, at Walt Disney World in January 2002.

EzineArticles.com Platinum Author In her spare time, Ais is travelling, writing books & articles, quilting, taking happy naps filled with creative fantasies, letterboxing, making chocolate chip cookies, and baking bread from freshly-ground wheat.
