Welcome! We're putting zines on CDs so you can get more from every zine. They're easier to store, too.
Zines are like magazines, but more informal. They're often homemade, and a labor of love rather than anything designed to make a profit. They're usually published irregularly, and the process of making them is often evident in the finished work. Some are like regular magazines; most aren't.
When zines are published on CDs, we can include far more pages, with more graphics, and--if you read the pages online--sometimes you can click on links to see what the writer is talking about, or check a reference that's mentioned in the zine.
We're distributing these zines/CDs so that you can find more of these new zines, and combine shipping on the zines that you order. And, from time to time, we'll offer a "zine sampler CD" to introduce you to new zines.

*About formats:
In most cases, you can print these zines on your home computer. Formats are listed in the CD description, with notes about which platforms can read them.PDF files can be read by both PCs and Macs, with the free program, Adobe Acrobat. Zines will print, page-by-page, to look exactly like the originals.

You can do that at Adobe's website, or through many shareware and other programs.
