Hello!Happy Mardi Gras!
I'm still trying very hard to be in "recharge the batteries" mode. It's not easy. *sheepish grin*
But, I'm also reading The War of Art, by Steven Pressfield. And, I'm wincing.
Yes, it's The War of Art, not "Art of War." And, in this book, he tackles some very hard-hitting reasons why we (okay, he does this and I do it as well...) don't accomplish as much as we'd like to. Why the great visions and goals get hung up somewhere around the ego, and excuses pour in from all around us.
Frankly, I hate this book... and I consider it a must-read if you have times when you feel "stuck."
Also, did you know that you can order a book at Amazon.com and pick it up at your nearby Border's bookstore? *nod* If I'd known that yesterday, I could have saved some money when I bought this book. Apparently Amazon.com runs the Border's website now, too. Smart decision, for both companies!
Anyway, I actually unpacked two of the five suitcases last night. I didn't get everything put away, but... at least two of the suitcases are now emptied.
Today, I'm working on art. And I'll finish reading this book. And probably start reading it from the beginning again, too. I know that I'm wincing & looking away, often. I need to read this while looking in the mirror... metaphorically speaking, of course! *LOL*
Wishing you rich and creative days filled with dazzling inspiration,
