past personal diary entries of an artist - from 18 jul 04

Hi,

Saturday was glorious! We started by visiting some friends for a photo of my sweetie with a pregnant woman. He's in a digital scavenger hunt, and that was on his list.

Then, we went to Houston's famous Art Car Museum. It's free, and a must-see when you're in town. These pictures are all from one of the cars inside the museum: (wait for the photos, they're worth it)

Gorgeous, huh? The gallery show on the walls of the museum was also inspiring. Photos, paintings, sculpture, some interesting installations... very cool stuff. This is a small museum--don't expect a lot--but they include a wide range of styles, materials, and subject. The show is there through late August, and I recommend it.

After the Art Car Museum, we still had to find a food item with a ridiculous name. We went to a Fiesta grocery store, and in their international aisles we found Fufu Flour. *chuckle*

Then we returned home for pizza (Safeway's Verdi Chicken Parmagianno pizza... yummm!) and a movie (MIIB) before bedtime.

Wishing you rich and creative days filled with dazzling inspiration,
