Reasonable questions. Maybe. I keep a journal because I always have. Since I was a little kid, even after
my mother cracked the lock on my diary (later claiming it was "broken") and punished
me Big Time for what I'd written in it... I still kept a journal.
In 1995, I started writing glorious and healing "daily pages," following the
program in The Artists Way. Some pages were clearly "essays" worth publishing.
So I put them online, hoping someone, somewhere, might benefit from my
experiences. And I started actively writing my pages--as a journal--online. As
I read my own words, sometimes later in the day, sometimes weeks or months later,
I realized that they helped me, too.
I've changed the names of those closest to me. Not everyone is willing to share
their lives, big and loud, with strangers. I believe that the bigger and louder
I can live my life, the healthier I am. My life is a constant battle against
shyness and timidity. I like to think that I'm winning.
After about four years of writing this online diary regularly, I began to return
to the art world. This was a big step forward.
Now I post the diary less often than I used to, because my offline life is more busy.
Also, as I interact more with the outside
world, I become more protective of my privacy, so the entries aren't as deeply
personal as they once were.
My current emphasis is on the creative process, to share my thoughts, struggles,
and successes with others.
However, I do continue to write
"morning pages" offline, to keep my life--and my goals--in focus.
I hope you enjoy my website.
Mostly, I hope that my pages helps you to connect with the magick of creativity.

Why?
Why would anyone want to post their diary online for the world to read?
Are you some kind of exhibitionist, or what?
