I received number 610 in the 1000 Journals Project journal in August of 2001. I journaled in it through the events of September 11th, and for a month thereafter.

What interests me the most is how my journal entries started out very tidy and compartmentalized. Then, I went through turmoil and had difficulties articulating. Finally, I began the natural process of achieving flow.

Since concluding those pages--and passing the journal to Melissa McCobb Hubbell--my art has improved significantly in terms of clarity and cohesion. I'm pleased!

Nevertheless, I feel that these pages are an important documentation of what happened to me--and many others--during the last four months of 2001.

Some of my 1000 Journals Project pages appear in the 1000 Journals Project book, shown in the right column on this page.

(I'm not in the 1000 Journals film, since I was in England when they were filming near my home. However, I'm very excited to see this project inspiring other creative expressions!)
