"...Any answer was a good answer..." I re-read this now, and I want to say that my husband hasn't been a bad man... We're just a very bad combination. His language and mine--the words and phrases that we use and the significances of them--are a harsh contrast. In retrospect, I think that I could have seen this early when he laughs at things that I don't consider funny. And, when I laugh at things that baffle him, he seems to resent it, as if he should "get it," when he doesn't. I think that left him feeling defensive.
