"begin" is the front cover illustration. I gesso's the cover, then used turquoise and white tissue paper, plus glitter & leaf, and the magazine text, "begin." The adhesive for every page in this journal is Golden Gel Medium, Soft Gel (Gloss).

I like to look at this, because it reminds me that what I'm doing is as much a beginning as it is the ending of this marriage, the era of raising children at home... homeschooling them, being a work-at-home mom, trying to make a marriage work that never got off the ground, and so on.

But, it's also the beginning of a new, happier life with more opportunities, and a greater chance for success and greater fulfillment, as my children (and ex-husband) go on to their respective lives and futures, as well.
