Renaissance-style journal cover

This is an embellished wooden journal cover with a Renaissance Faire theme. The embellishments include antique lace, cultured freshwater pearls, tree bark, acorns, ivy tendrils, an antique lock piece, glass beads, dried natural rose petals and flowers, and a peacock feather. The adhesives included high-temp hot glue, white glue and Golden gel medium.
I love Renaissance Faires of all kinds, and this cover shares many of the visual elements that I most enjoy... a mix of opulence, history and nature.
