I like this quotation.  To me, the balance of self-esteem, and awe and wonder, are like breathing in and out.  I inhale the beauty of the world around me.  Whether it's a glorious foggy day at the beach, or a quiet moment before a painting in a gallery, the awe in deeply fulfilling.

However, it's equally important--and essential--to exhale after these moments of reverence and wonder.  And that exhale is accomplished with self-expression.  A paintbrush, glue gun, cooking spatula, or even an automotive tool, are best used with bold confidence in the value of what you are about to express with it.

Beauty is rarely timid.
