People with brilliant voices take care of their voices, their throats, their mouths, and their ability to hear clearly.
Dancers insure their feet, pianists their hands, and so on. Whatever it is that is the key to your creative expression, it's important to place adequate value on it, and care for it accordingly.
Originality is another kind of talent, and just as important. You simply have to find your own ways to respect and care for it. It is as vital to your creative happiness and success, as any of the more tangible elements that make your art possible.
