Ballynafae Mardi Gras 2001 - South of the Border

Here in Ballynafae, we prepare early for Mardi Gras. Our theme for Mardi Gras 2001 is "South of the Border," recognizing that fine American landmark on the North/South Carolina border.

One can never have too many sombreros, or plastic pink flamingoes!

These stamps show several scenes, recreated in Ballynafae, to exactly reproduce the inspirational setting of South of the Border.

This stamp was used for Ballynafae postage throughout February 2001, after being issued as a First Day Cover on February 15th.
