Getting Things Done ...an artist's perspective
©2007 by aisling d'art
Early in 2007, I took another look at the book, Getting Things Done. I'd browsed it before,
saw a few things that I was already using, and... the rest looked too complicated. I didn't have time for it.
In February 2007, Eliza Metz (aka Modern Gypsy) mentioned Getting Things Done (GTD) again. I decided to actually read the book and try it.
It's not easy reading. Not for me, anyway. Oh, it's important to read it, but it'll make more sense if you also read the articles that I've listed on this page.
It's already making a huge difference in how much I'm getting done. More importantly, it's given me more focus for my creative projects. And, it's given me a way of creating to-do lists that I can actually complete, even when unexpected things come up and divert my attention.
This is a webpage that I made for myself, to refer to regularly. It will evolve (and, I hope, improve) as I find things that I like better. If you like something that I've listed, it's smart to bookmark it yourself.
And, oh yes, if the blogs (lower on the page) look funky or have error messages, reload the page.
Articles, tools, etc.

When I have too much to do, I identify with this cartoon by Dave Walker. If you do, too, give
Getting Things Done a try.
