Kilmallock Fields

I painted this from a photo taken when we went for a walk in Kilmallock, Co. Limerick, Ireland. The colors in this scan aren't quite right. For example, the dirt path is more orange (not red) in the painting, and the sky has a more haunting quality to it. However, you can see the mood and the richness of that area anyway.
I plan to work on the trees in the background a little more, and then this painting will be completed.
Kilmallock is one of the most beautiful towns in Ireland. It's about 18 miles south of Limerick city, and just north of Co. Cork.
